This a -most likely- a reproduction inspired by the celebrated Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma (1848 - 1906), who, along with Fritz Schleicher, set up a printing press in India in 1894 to make reproductions of some of his iconic works: images of gods and goddesses were enhanced with colorful garments and jewellry, giving the works a three dimensional texture, referred to as the Embellished Reproduction.
