Pichhwai are wallhangings and paintings that tell tales of the life of Krishna, often depicted in the centre. ‘Pich’ means backside, and ‘wai’ means textile hanging. This Pichhwai is made by the Mochi community, Gujarat, India, using their Ari chainstitch also known as the Mochi stitch.
